HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
2011 wasn't the wost year I have experienced (by far)...but I am looking forward to a new year, new changes, and new surprises. As long as they are GOOD surprises. I have never been a big "New Years Resolution" kind of girl, but this year I feel like it would do me some good to set some. So without further adieu...
#1: As it is every single year...I am going to lose weight. Well...I actually got a head start on this one. But the whole weight loss thing has been on hiatus since October. I am going to go back to it on the 3rd with the help of Weight Watchers and The Biggest Loser contest at work. It's no longer a vainity issue...I want to be healthy. Being cuter and able to buy smaller clothes is definitely a bonus however. :)
#2: I'm going to adopt a much more positive attitude. I'm tired of "expecting the worst" and doing damage control all the time. I am resolving to be a beam of positive energy...even sickeningly so... It can't hurt anyone or anything. And maybe it will rub off on everyone around me.
#3: I'm going to start taking some time for ME. I'm going to reward myself with some time to do something for myself at least once a week even if it's just reading a chapter in a book.
#4: I'm going to start saving. Moolah. It's my major source of stress...and I'm not the only one. But I think if we can start putting some money back at least once a month it will make me feel a little better...and we might be able to go on vacation and buy early for next Christmas! Bonus!
That's all I've got. Nothing crazy and unobtainable. I hope you all have a fantastic New Year and I wish you all the very best in 2012!

Red October
So the Cardinals have made it into the NLCS and we are in the "swing" of it. Get it...wink wink, nudge nudge. Anyway, being the dedicated fans we are, we have been watching alot of Cardinal baseball for the last couple of weeks and I have decided that one out of my three boys is going to be a Cardinal someday. I can totally see myself with front row seats to every home game at Busch....just sayin'....no pressure. :)
I've also decided that the month of October is simply just not long enough. This is my favorite time of year and it leads into my second favorite time of year. There is so much fun stuff to do and not enough time to do it all. I want to go to the pumpkin patch, and I'm trying to figure out when we can make that happen. Between work and weekday stuff and weekends full of soccer games, weddings, birthdays, and holidays I just need to figure out when we can partake in Fun Fall Festivities.
Jake is getting very close to being mobile. Let the games begin. He is getting up on his hands and knees and doing that cute rocking thing that babies do right before they start crawling and taking over the world. Or at least their parents world, anyway. I much prefer him being sweet and little and stationary...but this is the way it has to be. And you can tell that he is totally frustrated by being just on the verge of crawling. It's making him very crabby. So maybe I do want him to get moving after all.
Nick is playing soccer and is super good at it. He is one of those naturally athletic kids and will probably be good at any sport he tries. (He's the one I'd put my money on for getting into MLB even though his father will do everything HE can to get him into the NFL)
Ryan is learning a piece in band that he is very excited about. It's a "mash-up" of Journey songs. I think it is very cool that my 12 year old first of all KNOWS who "Journey" is and second of all is actually excited to learn how to play their songs on the sax. He's just an extra cool kid all around. I just need him to care as much about Math as he does music and it will be smooth sailing.
My pillow is calling my name and I guess I'll answer since the game is over now. We lost...but no biggie...we'll get those Brewers yet, we are just making it interesting. ;)
Much Love!

Starting Over
Once upon a time, I had a blog. I kept up with it for years and years, and then life took over and I lost momentum. Actually, I just kind of quit cold turkey. So I decided to start over with this one. Not that I have any more time than I did when I stopped writing in the other one...actually I probably have LESS time now. But there is so much happening I feel the need to document it. Right now I feel like life is moving so fast that I'm missing it most days. My kids are growing so fast. I've literally blinked and 8 months has gone by. Heck...really it's almost like 6 years have gone by. My boys are 12 (12?!?!?! How did that happen??), 5, and 8 months. I will be the very first person to tell you that I'm very lucky. They are all healthy, happy, funny, smart and all around fantastic kids. Of course there are days that I want to lock them in a closet somewhere...but what Mom doesn't? Right????
Point is...I want to share our lives with the people I love and care about while also kind of keeping a record of our day to day madness. It's fun to go back and read later on.
I'll start tomorrow. I'm exhausted. LOL!
Much Love!
