So the Cardinals have made it into the NLCS and we are in the "swing" of it. Get it...wink wink, nudge nudge. Anyway, being the dedicated fans we are, we have been watching alot of Cardinal baseball for the last couple of weeks and I have decided that one out of my three boys is going to be a Cardinal someday. I can totally see myself with front row seats to every home game at Busch....just sayin'....no pressure. :)
I've also decided that the month of October is simply just not long enough. This is my favorite time of year and it leads into my second favorite time of year. There is so much fun stuff to do and not enough time to do it all. I want to go to the pumpkin patch, and I'm trying to figure out when we can make that happen. Between work and weekday stuff and weekends full of soccer games, weddings, birthdays, and holidays I just need to figure out when we can partake in Fun Fall Festivities.
Jake is getting very close to being mobile. Let the games begin. He is getting up on his hands and knees and doing that cute rocking thing that babies do right before they start crawling and taking over the world. Or at least their parents world, anyway. I much prefer him being sweet and little and stationary...but this is the way it has to be. And you can tell that he is totally frustrated by being just on the verge of crawling. It's making him very crabby. So maybe I do want him to get moving after all.
Nick is playing soccer and is super good at it. He is one of those naturally athletic kids and will probably be good at any sport he tries. (He's the one I'd put my money on for getting into MLB even though his father will do everything HE can to get him into the NFL)
Ryan is learning a piece in band that he is very excited about. It's a "mash-up" of Journey songs. I think it is very cool that my 12 year old first of all KNOWS who "Journey" is and second of all is actually excited to learn how to play their songs on the sax. He's just an extra cool kid all around. I just need him to care as much about Math as he does music and it will be smooth sailing.
My pillow is calling my name and I guess I'll answer since the game is over now. We lost...but no biggie...we'll get those Brewers yet, we are just making it interesting. ;)
Much Love!
